SilverWood Coven is a Traditionalist Wiccan coven with a progressive outlook. Our primary purpose is to serve the Lady and Lord of the Wicca and to help teach others who are called to become their Priestess or Priest. We observe and celebrate the New and Full Moons as well as the eight Sabbats of the wheel of the year. New members must be 18 years of age or older and begin by participating in discussions about Wicca and attending at least two open Sabbat circles over the course of a year. Laughter and good food appear regularly at discussions and Circles.

We strive for diversity in race/ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression in our membership. We utilize a four-degree system (Neophyte, First, Second and Third). Taliesin, High Priest of SilverWood Coven, is a gay Third Degree High Priest who first trained for several years within a Traditionalist coven structure first with the Blue Star Tradition and then later became co-leader of SilverWood Coven. (Please note that SilverWood Coven is not part of the Blue Star Tradition).
